엔젤이 들려주는 기획이야기 _ 강구야(강원재 문화기획자)
희망청의 분위기는 익히 들었지만, 워크숍에 실제 와서 분위기를 보니, 이렇게 보석같은 젊은이들이 도대체 어디서 왔을까, 그런 생각이 많이 들었어요.
낭만 프로젝트, 스스로를 로맨티스트라고 생각하고 다른 분들도 인정해 주는 분위기인데, 낭만주의자라는 것이 ‘천국이 있다.’라고 믿는 것이 ‘낭만’이라고 생각합니다. ‘어떤 일을 하면 천국에 도달할 것이다.’ 라는 믿음을 가지고 있는 사람이 낭만주의자입니다. 그래서 어쩔 수 없이 낭만주의자, 희망청을 좋아하는 것 같아요.
여러분 이 앞서 했던 이야기 들으면서 참 잘 왔다는 생각했구요.
꾸준히 지치지 않고 하게 하는 힘이 뭘까요? 돈. 동료. 재미. 보람. 상상
그런 것들을 통틀어 에너지라고 생각해요. 돈, 동료 모두 에너지죠. 별도 에너지죠. 별을 보고 있는 동안에 뭔가 이 우주 속에 나라는 사람, 어느 순간 저 보이지 않는 곳과 맞닿아 있는 듯 한 느낌. 동료와 이야기를 하는 순간 어떤 것이 확 오는 느낌. 에너지가 교감하는 것. 에너지를 쌓아가는 삶. 이것들이 일들을 지치지 않고 해주는 에너지 같아요.
제가 콩세알 엔젤인데요, 콩세알은 예비사회적기업으로 도시 가구와 농촌을 연계하여 도농 직거래를 하고 있습니다. ‘얼굴 있는 밥상’이 되었으면 좋겠다, 농부의 땀을 읽을 수 있는 밥상, 먹는 사람의 표정을 읽을 수 있는 농사. 농가들과 함께 재미있는 파티도 하면서요. (중략)
밭에서 나는 농산물들을 판매하는 것이 아니라, 유기농 직거래를 해서, 레스토랑을 열어 음식을 나눠 먹는 것을 상상하고 있습니다. 이런 상상들을 하다 보니 콩세알이 너무 바빠지더라고요. 그래서 우리가 먼저 죽으면 어떻게 한단 말이냐. 라는 이야기를 하더라고요. 하하. 저는 그런 말들에 대해 -저는 앤젤이니까- “바빠서 죽는 사람은 없어. 외로워서 죽거나 무기력해서 죽는 사람은 봤어도 바빠서 죽는 사람은 없어.”라고 대답해주죠. 바쁘다는 것이 어디에 바쁜 것이냐, 별을 보면서 에너지를 담을 여유가 없고, 내 생계를 꾸릴 수 없는 것들. 에너지를 교환할 수 있는 시간이 없다는 것이 문제인 것 같습니다. 에너지를 교환하는데 바쁘다는 것은 충분히 바빠도 된다는 것입니다. 충분히 자기 삶과 주변을 돌볼 수 있는 에너지를 만들어야 되는 것 같습니다. 자기 노동이 자기를 위해서 쓰이지 않고, 자기 시간을 자기가 꿈꾸는 세상을 위해 쓰지 못하는 것.
자기 노동과 시간을 사용하는 것을 보면, 자기가 꿈꾸지 않는 것을 위해 소비하고 있다는 생각이 들어요. 자기가 꿈꾸지 않는 꿈을 위해서 시간을 쓰고 있는 거예요. 이런 것들이 하나둘씩 관계를 통해서 이루어지고, 다음엔 어떻게 해야 하는지 생각하는 것. 이게 중요한 것 같습니다. 그래서 지속가능한 예쁜 생각, 아름다운 생각, 멋진 생각, 그리고 멋진 일들을 하기 위해서는 그 방법을 찾아내야 하는 것 같습니다. 방법을 찾지 않는다면, 곧 지치게 되는 것이지요. 돈이 돌도록, 에너지가 되는 돈이 되도록, 어떻게 관계를 맺어 에너지가 될 수 있는지, 그 방법을 찾아야 합니다.
기획은 그 메소드(method)를 상상하는 것입니다. 술자리에서 즐겁게 떠들다 끝나는 것이 아니라, 이렇게 하면 되겠다는 method가 상상으로 팡 쏟아져 나와야 합니다.
별을 보면서, 카페를 찾아가면서 희코 기획단을 통해가지고, MT라는 것을 두고 같이 고민을 해보는 것. 너의 꿈을 응원하면 나의 꿈이 실현됩니다. 우리 같이 살아보자라고 한다면, 여기서부터 시작되서 돈이 흐름이 만들어지는 것이지요. 그래서 같이 먹고 살자는 것이지요. 서로 돕고 나누고, 에너지를 교환하면서 간다면, 서로의 꿈을 위해서 일하면 내 꿈이 이루어지는 것이지요. (중략)
자기 꿈을 위해 하는 게 아니라, 서로의 꿈을 위해 한 번 해보는 것. 그럴 때 내가 도우면, 다른 사람들이 날 얼마나 도와줄까, 이 마음이 결국 나를 망쳐요. 에너지가 돌기 시작하고, 구체적인 그림으로 나오는 순간, 다들 헷갈리게 됩니다. 특히 돈이란 것. 먹고 사는 것.
인간은 불완전한 존재이면서, 불안하지요. 혼자 고민하는 것이 많아지면, 불안정한 존재이기 때문에 중심을 못 잡고 흔들리게 되지요. 그런데 이 생각을 같이 나누는 사람이 3명만 있어도, 안정이 되요. 같이 나눌 수 있는 동료들이 주위에 있을 때 지속가능해집니다. 에너지가 서클을 만들지요.
